During your stay in Istanbul, discover the Hagia Sophia, one of the world’s greatest marvels of architecture, constructed as a basilica in the 6th century by Emperor Justinian.

Tour the Blue Mosque, famous for its blue Iznik tiles and its unique use of six minarets. Visit the Hippodrome, center of chariot races, athletic events, and political activities of the old city.

Experience one of Istanbul's most colorful institutions: The Grand Bazaar. The bazaar is comprised of two sections, the covered authentic section and the surrounding shops. The covered (authentic) market is surrounded by a wall and entered by eleven gates. The maze of streets and lanes are one of the greatest sights of the city. Carpets, jewelry, ceramics, leather goods and a variety of souvenirs are among the major items that are available in the over 5,000 shops that make up the Bazaar.
